Key Team Members
Carole Francesca, President of Broad Street Licensing Group, is a specialist in consumer brand name licensing. With over 25 years experience on both the client and agency side, she pioneered brand building licensing programs for world-class companies such as Unilever, Burger King, Culinary Institute of America, Chesebrough Pond's, Walt Disney Consumer Products, MGM/United Artists, and ABC-TV, both domestically and worldwide.
Carole has served as Chairman of the Board of the Licensing Industry Association (LIMA), and chaired a variety of committees including its Executive, Strategic Planning, Marketing, Nominating, Awards, International and Education committees. She was previously president of the Women in Licensing Association; a past board member of Women in Toys Association and was named one of the 'Top 100 Most Influential Marketers in Licensing' by License! Global Magazine.
She is a frequent speaker at key industry conferences, a member of the faculty for LIMA's Certificate of Licensing Studies and 'Ask the Experts' programs, and serves as a Mentor for LIMA's Young Executives initiative. Carole holds a B.A. in marketing from New York University.
William Cross, Vice President Restaurant & Food Brand Licensing spearheads business development for the agency. Over his many years in licensing, he has developed and negotiated award-winning licensing partnerships across a wide variety of consumer and B2B product categories and industries. Bill joined the agency from the world of public relations and marketing, consulting for clients in the licensing, sporting goods, travel and computer software fields. He oversees BSLG's blog "Food Business News", writes about the food and restaurant industry for a variety of publications and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars.
In his former life, Bill was a journalist covering economic and consumer trends in Asia for publications including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Boston Globe, Money Magazine and Chicago Tribune. He holds an M.Phil in Comparative Literature from Yale University and a B.A. in German from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Danielle Foley, Director of Marketing & Licensing, is responsible for sales, marketing and licensing activities of BSLG's clients and oversees the day-to-day operations of the programs. She has over 10 years in licensing and marketing for well-known worldwide brands and brings creative, out-of-the-box thinking to the development and implementation of each program.
Prior to joining BSLG, Danielle served as Marketing Manager for Bradford Licensing Associates for clients Pepsi, PEZ Candy, Inc., Piping Hot fashion brand and Shaw Family Archives (Marilyn Monroe photographers) and in Marketing Services for L'Oreal and Lancome. She works closely with our clients, bringing her expertise in strategic planning and marketing to each program. Danielle holds a B.S. in Consumer Studies & Business Management from University of Maryland.
Barye Phillips, Director of Sales is responsible for sales activities of the agency. He works extensively with manufacturers, implementing licensing strategies in the consumer products and retail marketplace. Prior to joining BSLG, Barye spent his career in retailing with companies such as Verizon Wireless and Tandy Corporation, bringing a wealth of marketplace know-how to clients. Barye holds a B.A in English from Bridgeport University.
