According to this story in the Chicago Tribune, CPG house Kraft Foods is suing the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. a chain of casual-dining restaurants, over its plans to go to retail.
The restaurant chain recently announced a licensing agreement with John Morrel Food Group, a division of Smithfield Foods. Kraft wants the licensed voided, arguing that it has been the only Cracker Barrel brand in the retail grocery channel since 1954.
