Celebrities and the Alcohol Industry

star with champagne

The U.S. beverage alcohol industry is responsible for over $400 billion in total U.S. economic activity in 2010 (Distilled Spirits Council of the United States – ).  So why wouldn’t a celebrity want to get in on this?  I was curious to see which celebrities were doing exactly that, so I did some digging and decided to share my findings with you.

  • Bill Murray and Mikhail Baryshnikov – Slovenia Vodka
  • CeeLo Green – Ty Ku Sake
  • Kenny Chesney – Blue Chair Bay Rum

  • Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) – Pura Vida Tequila
  • Ludacris – Conjure Cognac
  • George Clooney – Casamigos Tequila

  • Diddy – Ciroc Vodka
  • Justin Timberlake – 901 Silver Tequila
  • Sammy Hagar – Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum & Cabo Wabo Tequila
  • Dan Aykroyd -

    Crystal Head Vodka

  • Joe Montana – Aviation American Gin
  • Hanson brothers – MMMHop IPA

  • Yao Ming (retired NBA star) – Yao Family Wines
  • Marilyn Manson –  Mansinthe absinthe
  • Donald Trump – Trump Super Premium Vodka (a flop)
  • Danny DeVito – Danny DeVito Premium Limoncello
  • Roberto Cavalli – Roberto Cavalli Vodka
  • Willie Nelson – Old Whiskey River Bourbon
  • Vince Neil – Tres Rios Tequila
  • Lil John – Little Jonathan Winery

  • Dr. Dre – Aftermath Cognac
  • Fuzzy Zoeller (golf icon) – Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka
  • Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt – Miraval Rose (wine)
  • Fergie – Ferguson Crest (wine)

This is only a partial list and it seems that every week another celebrity is jumping on the band wagon.  That said, CONSUMER BEWARE:  Simply because a celebrity slaps his or her name on something does not automatically make it a quality product…But I’m sure you already knew that.
